Dr. Ron Bihovsky, founder of Key Synthesis LLC, has over 30 years of research experience in organic chemistry and medicinal chemistry research in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, as well as academia. He has worked on numerous classes of biologically active small molecules ranging from heterocyles to natural products to peptide mimetics.  He has worked as a chemical consultant, and has performed experimental work and testified as an expert witness in several high-profile intellectual property pharmaceutical patent cases.

Prior to working in industry, Dr. Bihovsky conducted research on the total synthesis of natural products as a professor of organic chemistry at SUNY Stony Brook.

He has authored 50 scientific publications, and is an inventor on 16 US patents and numerous international patents.

Dr. Bihovsky earned a Ph.D. in organic chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley, and was an NIH postdoctoral fellow at the University of Wisconsin, Madison.

Dr. Bihovsky is the Chairman of Chemical Consultants Network, a non-profit organization of consulting chemists.
